Fairfield County Hires County Administrator
At the Monday, February 10th, 2025 Fairfield
County Council Meeting, Fairfield County Council voted 6-0 to hire Vic Carpenter as the Fairfield
County Administrator. Carpenter has served as: Goochland County, VA County Administrator
2022-2025; Kershaw County, SC County Administrator 2011-2022; Greenwood County, SC
County Administrator 2007-2011; and Anderson County, SC Assistant Administrator for
Environmental Services 1998-2007. “To provide leadership to a visionary, progressive and
transparent County government,” stated Carpenter in regards to his vision for his role as the
Fairfield County Administrator.
