Volunteer Spotlight- Dawn Paulus

Fairfield County has many volunteers, across various departments, that give their time and effort to serve the citizens and animals of Fairfield County.

From Fairfield County Animal Control Director Jo Shaw:

"I want to nominate a very special volunteer at the Animal Shelter. Dawn Nawrocki Paulus is a regular volunteer at the shelter; she can be found most Fridays in our laundry room washing, folding and sorting blankets. Dawn has taken part in multiple shelter fundraisers, participated in events and walk dogs in all three Christmas parades with Animal Control. Dawn often bakes for staff and joins other volunteers during Shelter Appreciation Week, providing lunches and desserts to all staff.

Her volunteering doesn’t end there! Dawn has fostered sick and injured animals, all the while promoting them for adoption and recently playing a vital role in finding placement for a family of 3 dogs at different times. AJ, Frank and most recently Aria, have Dawn to thank for their new homes and the exposure she gave them. We would like to show our appreciation of her for the love and support she shows the shelter animals and staff."

Join us in thanking Dawn Paulus for her tireless efforts to support Fairfield County Animal Control and the Fairfield County Animal Shelter!
