Fairfield County Planning Commission Public Hearing on October 24, 2024

The Fairfield County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 6 p.m. Your input is important to the decisions that shape our county's development.

What to Expect

The hearing, held in the County Council Chamber at the Fairfield County Governmental Complex (250 N. Walnut St., Winnsboro, SC), will focus on two key items:

A proposed recreational vehicle park in Elgin, referred to as "Gold Mine RV Park." The proposal by Donna F. Locklear involves a +/- 17.62-acre property and consists of 69 sites.

A proposed subdivision in Ridgeway, referred to as "The Woods of Molly Creek." The proposal from Gene A. Hayes is for a +/- 19.58-acre property and consists of nine lots.

How to Participate

The general public is invited to attend and speak for or against the proposals. Each citizen will be allocated three minutes to speak. A total of ten speakers will be heard on a first-come, first-served basis. If you prefer, you can submit a written statement to the Community Development Director by noon on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
