Fairfield County and the Stewart Company hosted a virtual meeting on Thursday, May 30, 2024, to provide updates and a presentation on proposed revisions to the Land Management Ordinance. Your input is vital in shaping the future of our county's development.

A Look at the Revisions

The meeting focused on a comprehensive review and update of the Land Management Ordinance (LMO), with a goal of simplifying and modernizing the document. The proposed revisions were based on public feedback and are aligned with the new Fairfield County Comprehensive Plan.

Key revisions discussed included:

  • Zoning Districts: The meeting covered proposed updates to zoning districts and their permitted uses.
  • Development Standards: Discussions included changes to tree preservation and stream buffer regulations.
