Joey Price Promoted to Director of Community and Safety Services

Winnsboro, SC— November 10th, 2025--- At the November 10th, 2025 Fairfield County Council
meeting, it was announced that Joey Price, formerly the Fairfield County Emergency
Management/E9-11 Director, has been promoted to Director of Community and Safety Services.
This newly created position will oversee the restructuring of several Fairfield County
departments.

Fairfield County Animal Control and Adoption Center will be divided into 2 separate
departments: Fairfield County Animal Control and Fairfield County Animal Shelter. This new
restructuring is in an effort to serve the citizens and animals of Fairfield County more efficiently
and effectively.

As the new Director of Community and Safety Services, Joey Price will have management
oversight of: Animal Control; Animal Shelter; Detention Center; Emergency Management and
E9-11. This restructuring will allow for more consolidated oversight in an effort to serve the
Fairfield County community and provide a solid structure to meet the demands and challenges of
Fairfield County, in the future.
