Fairfield County EMS Receives Gold Designation

🌟 BIG NEWS FROM FAIRFIELD COUNTY EMS! 🌟
We’re proud to share that Fairfield County EMS has earned our first-ever GOLD designation from the American Heart Association as part of the Mission: Lifeline EMS program! 🥇 This is a major step up from last year’s Silver award—and it means a lot for our community.

So what does this mean for you?
It means that when someone in Fairfield County is experiencing a heart attack, stroke, or cardiac emergency, our crews are:
• Recognizing symptoms quickly
• Starting critical treatments sooner
• Following the highest national standards of care
• Working seamlessly with hospitals to get patients the right
care, fast

In fact, this recognition shows that we’ve met and exceeded national performance standards for both 2024 and 2025 in how we care for these life-threatening emergencies.
Mission: Lifeline is a nationwide program that focuses on improving survival by making sure every step—from the 911 call to hospital treatment—is fast, coordinated, and based on proven medical guidelines. Earning Gold means our system is performing at the highest level.
We’re also honored to be 1 of only 130 EMS agencies in the nation to receive early recognition this year.

This achievement is a direct result of the hard work, training, and dedication of our providers—and their commitment to delivering thorough assessments and high-quality care on every call.

We couldn’t be more proud of this team and grateful to serve our community.
