Exciting News for Fairfield County EMS

Fairfield County EMS Nationally Recognized for Excellence in Cardiac and Stroke Care

We are proud to announce that Fairfield County EMS has been awarded the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline® EMS Silver Achievement Award, recognizing our dedication to providing timely and evidence-based care to patients experiencing severe heart attacks and strokes.

This national recognition reflects our commitment to saving lives through early identification, rapid intervention, and strong coordination with regional healthcare systems. Our EMS professionals are trained to initiate treatment as soon as they arrive on scene—often up to an hour sooner than if a patient arrives by private vehicle—providing critical care that improves outcomes and saves lives.

The Mission: Lifeline® EMS initiative highlights the essential role that EMS plays in the chain of survival. From the moment 911 is called, through transport, hospital arrival, and treatment, every second counts—and Fairfield County EMS is proud to be part of a system that delivers high-quality, life-saving care.

We thank our dedicated paramedics, AEMTs, EMTs, and partners in emergency medicine who make this recognition possible. Your commitment to excellence continues to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
