The next regularly scheduled Fairfield County Council meeting will take place on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 6 p.m. . Your attendance and participation are crucial to shaping our community's future.
What's on the Agenda?
The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers on the second floor of the Fairfield County Government Complex, located at 250 N. Walnut Street in Winnsboro. The agenda includes two public hearings:
Public Hearing: A request to amend the Land Management Ordinance to reclassify a property on Syrup Mill Road in Ridgeway from an Industrial District to a Rural Residential District.
First Reading of Ordinance No. 838: An ordinance to revise and update regulations for animal control in the county.
The meeting will also include a new business item on the approval of a CDBG Grant, as well as two proclamations: one recognizing Ernest Chambers and another regarding the Preparedness and State Guard Works.
How to Participate
Citizens who wish to speak during the Public Hearing or Public Comment sections must sign up by 5:45 p.m., at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. Public comments must pertain to items on the agenda for which no public hearing is scheduled. You can view the full agenda below.
