Code Red Emergency Notification Alerts

Sign Up for CodeRED Emergency Notifications

Fairfield County is pleased to offer the CodeRED Emergency Notification System, a free service that sends critical communications to residents. We strongly encourage all citizens to register to ensure you receive vital updates when they matter most.

What Is CodeRED and How Does It Work?

The CodeRED system is used to send a wide range of important notifications via phone calls and text messages, including:

Evacuation notices

Severe weather alerts

Missing child alerts

General emergency information

When you receive a call from the system, the Caller ID will display as 1-866-419-5000 for emergency notifications and 1-855-969-4636 for general notifications. You can simply dial the number back to hear the last message delivered to your phone. Your contact information remains private and will only be used for community communications.
