Calling all animal lovers! The Fairfield County Animal Control Ad Hoc Committee will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. Your participation is essential to shaping the future of animal welfare in our community.

What to Expect

The meeting will be held in the Auditorium at 250 North Walnut Street in Winnsboro. The committee will discuss proposed changes to Ordinance No. 838, which governs animal control in Fairfield County. Key discussion items on the agenda include:

  • Spay/Neuter Provisions: A discussion of proposed sections 4-9 and 4-16, including best practices from other counties.
  • Show & Hunting Dogs: A review of proposed sections 4-23 and 4-24, and a comparison of best practices.
