Position Description

Job Title: Adult & Dislocated Worker Case Manager

 

Responsible To: WIOA Director 

 

Position Purpose: This individual is responsible for providing staff support for the adult aspect of the WIOA program including, but limited to serve as an advocate for clients, to complete and turn-in reports, maintain attendance sheets, facilitates clients with goal setting and all other materials essential to program,  training, supervise and evaluate clients progress, to participate as member of the Administrative team, to network with community service providers and local education agencies to obtain services to fulfill the client’s needs, WIOA objectives as well as Fairfield County performance standards.

Principle Accountabilities:

q  Participates in comprehensive client services, including program activities, and client involvement by regularly meeting with clients to develop, implement and monitor program development process.

q  Maintain documentation on program activities process and goals.

q  Coordinate efforts to ensure component meets performance standards.

q  Assists in participating in updating the annual activities service plan, recruitment plan, and procedures in conjunction with the WIOA Director, clients, and other staff.

q  Review, evaluate and interpret client demographics, vital statistics and other data affecting the Program Activities Service Component.

q  Serve as a liaison with community agencies.

q  Develop and implement in-service training for and clients.

q  Evaluate, maintain and modify procedures necessary to improve the delivery of services.

q  Advocate for services and policies, which benefit clients.

q  Serve as a member on local committees and boards to promote positive public relations and enhance community cooperation.

q  Carry out all duties as assigned by the WIOA Director.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum BA/BS degree in the field of psychology, social work, sociology or related field, excellent client service skills are a must. Strong communication skills (written and oral), must enjoy working with the public and have a strong initiative to work independently, must have strong computer skill experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, Power Point, Excel, and data base analysis, knowledge of internet and other office related skills, experience in working with youth and community agencies, sensitive to the needs of clients, must be able to related to a diverse group of people, and relevant WIOA experience, ability to effective write relevant reports and must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Applicant is subject to a background check.
